About blind contours
At first the words might suggest that the eyes are meant to be kept closed during this drawing exercise, but it is quite the opposite. You must keep your eyes wide open, study your subject 99% of the time and devote only 1% to being surprised by your results on paper.

What particularly interests me about blind contours is that, much like collage, they provide an opportunity for chance and unexpected results.
